In case you are unaware, we have 3 pets: 2 cats and a snake. My old man, as I affectionately like to call him, is Rascal.
I found Rascal almost 6 years ago after he'd been dumped at TAMUG. Well, recently we've found out that he most likely has an auto immune condition. For a while he's had some small callouses on his front paws. Recently they developed into larger, claw-like structures. Two weeks of antibiotics ruled out that it was merely a bacterial infection. Since his steroid shot last week, the callouses seem to be shrinking.
He will live out the rest of his life having to be medicated, but hopefully it won't impede a long and otherwise healthy life for him.
The last few weeks have been fairly quiet, hence the lack of posts. The wedding plans continue to stay on track. Since my last post, I've met with the florist again, we tasted and chose our cakes and we had our first pre-marital counseling session at the church. Oh, and we have our invitations in a waiting to be mailed. My dress is in and I will be meeting Mom and Dad in two weeks for my first fitting. I'm super excited to put it on again.
Beau has been in Amsterdam all week, but is due back tomorrow afternoon. I believe that this is one of the longest stints apart we've had since we started dating. Definitely the longest we've gone without phone conversations, I've talked with him once since he left and only for about ten minutes. So I'll be glad to have him back.
More to come later, as I'm waiting on some pictures to post with stories. Guess I need to think about calling it a night. Hopefully no insomnia like last night.
